About the Trust
The Ausherman Family Trust was established in 2006 by Marvin and Lisa Ausherman to fulfill their vision for Frederick County, Maryland. That Vision is a vibrant community where committed nonprofit organizations affectively work together in the spirit of cooperation to advance superior charitable outcomes in Frederick County. The Trust's Mission is to empower the passion for change in Frederick County, Maryland.
The Ausherman Family Trust and the Ausherman Family Foundation
Though they are two separate organizations, the Ausherman Family Trust and the Ausherman Family Foundation have a partnership as they are motivated to achieve a common goal. The Trust and the Foundation are fundamentally operated with the same programs, strategic plan and management structure. However, the Trust and the Foundation are funded separately. The Foundation is a private foundation whereas the Trust is considered a supporting organization.
Because the Ausherman Family Trust and the Ausherman Family Foundation run the same programs, and the main difference is which organization funding comes from, the organizations have established multiple links between their websites in order to share their programs and grantees with visitors.
