Habitat for Humanity International
In order to achieve a higher level of effectiveness by building, nurturing and sustaining its donor base, the Trust has awarded a Grant to Habitat for Humanity International. They will use this Grant to engage a consultant to help develop a comprehensive fundraising plan.
Habitat for Humanity International works to build simple, affordable homes in partnership with hardworking community members. Their experience is that providing an affordable home and a better quality of life strengthens families as they live in a safer and improved environment. They exist in a difficult environment where so many families are in need, yet the costs of housing and the availability of suitable sites have created a major challenge as they strive to carry out their mission.

Resurrection Mission in Zacapa, Guatemala
The Trust supports Robert and Tharsis Jackson, missionaries to this community where they are providing worship experiences, education assistance, practical community improvements and help for the very needy people of the region. Some of the recent accomplishments included completing the rock wall construction for a new school in Puente Blanco, and building “church pews” for two village churches. The church has since been inaugurated and the congregation is continually growing.
Robert and Tharsis were able to purchase a much needed vehicle with their funding. We were excited to hear stories of how the vehicle enabled them to help local disadvantaged community members. One particularly touching story was about a disadvantaged family who needed to be driven to a hospital located in a far away town. As this was the only way to receive the necessary health care required, the family expressed their gratefulness to Robert and Tharsis’ as the woman was able to safely deliver twin boys.

Campus Crusade for Christ
The Ausherman Family strongly supports Christian missions and is pleased to assist the Campus Crusade for Christ. When Campus Crusade for Christ began as a campus ministry in 1951, the underlying concept was to "win the campus today and change the world tomorrow." More than 50 years later, the mission remains the same.
The campus ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ is a network of vibrant, growing movements on 1,029 campuses in the United States and beyond. Proven and diverse outreach strategies expose millions of students to the gospel each year. Over the past five years, more than 37,900 students made a decision to become a Christian.

FamilyLife
The Ausherman Family strongly supports Christian missions and is pleased to assist FamilyLife. FamilyLife realized there was a clear need to define God's principles for the family, so they created The Family Manifesto to provide families with a declaration of values. This document supports their conviction that the family is the backbone of the Christian church and of society as a whole, and we must uphold, strengthen, and continue to build upon the biblical institutions of marriage and family.
